Horrible Misfire
 

Well im new to this RX7 forum and also the rotary. Well my story with an rx7 is that i was i was getting on the frontage road that the car all of a sudden started to misfire. I dont even think i was flooring it even though i know 13b n/a. I had only had the car for a month but where i got it from the owner took great car of it. The reason i came to this forum is i dont know jack s*** about rotary. all i can describe the car is like pulling stark plug wire out of its spark plug. i dont know anything about compression test but from all i have read its starting to sound expensive. well any help/advice from you guys well be VERY appreciated. It is a non negative or "flaming" environment that is watched and posted in daily by very knowledgeable and senior members of this board.

It may be a good idea to check out the 1st/2nd/3rd generation specific forums and find the Frequently Asked Questions for your cars generation as well.

Finally, you can expect more answers and solutions if you add important details (as best as you can such as your cars year and model), possible video footage, and when the problem occurs or is the worst.

It never hurts to check the plugs and gives you an excuse to make sure there isn't any loose wires or hoses as well. It will also be a good time to ask the previous owner when the car was last serviced or if that isn't possible, check out the fuel filter and replace it if need be. That should get you started.
