Hollowing out the E-shaft: What do I need?
I have a rusted eshaft that I'm planning to make into a lamp (connected to an old flywheel).
I don't believe there is a passage all the way through - but whatever blockades exist are fairly deep in. What would be the best way to make a lamp cord fit through? -=Russ=- |
what i would do is take a coat hanger and straighten it.
Stick it in and see how far it goes in. Mark and take it out. Then compare. A normal drill bit might make it. Use the right size so you can use just a tap and screw the fixture on. you can use the coat hanger to run the cord through. |
cool idea.
some stores have long drillbits... just go slow and use lots of wd40 or oil |
