Help with OMP setup?

I have a Cosmo 13B-REW with a 12A front cover. I was considering using an externally oil source for my OMP to pull 2 cycle oil instead of engine oil. Like:

Should I use a linkage to control the OMP or fix it open?
If I set the pump to run full bore can the 12A OMP put out enough oil for my application?
Should I just use premix?
Are there any OMP tricks or modifications anyone can share?

Afaik, the RA pump has no provision for throttle linkage. Not that familiar with the Cosmo engine, does it have the mechanical or electronic mop? If it's electronic, you have other issues to deal with.

When comparing the mop output tests between the 12A and say an S4 TII, there is a big difference in volume. By the time the US version of the REW came over, the mop volume was reduced from the TIIs, especially at lower rpms.

My understanding is the mechanical mops are based on throttle position, while the electronic ones are controlled by the ecu and the RA one is rpm based as it is gear driven by the engine.

The Cosmo engine came with electronic mop with 2 discharge lines. I was going to track down a GSL-SE front cover, but the 2 line thing led be to using a 12A cover I already had. There are no provisions for a linkage to the new mop. I was thinking about using a cable or just fixing it open as RA recommends. I guess my main concern is not giving the seals enough oil. How much do FDs put out? With that info I can test mine and compare. If it is less I suppose premix would be the way to go unless there is away to modify the 12a mop.

So, you run the MOP fed with 2-stroke oil instead of pan oil. How long have you used this setup? Have you had any issues with it so far? What is your the 2-stoke oil consumption rate like? Do you run a linkage or is the MOP fixed at preset position?
