Help me decipher my injector flow test!

I took some injectors to get cleaned and flow tested locally. I'm starting to think that was a mistake for a number of reasons. 1. very undetailed results, written on piece of paper. 2. I can't figure out what he did to get these numbers.

I took in a set of injectors that are marked as low imp 550s. He told me "they flow 102ml and 103ml" and those two numbers are written under the "green/tan injectors" column he made.

The other two should be another set of 550s, but are unmarked. They are purple topped and low impedence (could be 460s???) Their little column had 81ml and 83ml under it.

Any ideas where these numbers came from. I don't even know what kind of pressure they were tested at, but I'd like to have a few ideas as to what could be up before I call back and find out exactly what he does.

Any thoughts?

this probably doesnt help at all but 1ml = 1cc. according to the results you have enought fuel to support 50-60 hp. :) however I don't think that's what the results mean.

Minimum you need flow rate and pressure.
It sounds like it was a typical 15-second test.
They don't like to keep the fuel injectors locked open for that long, and 15 seconds is a compromise.
I bet the test pressure was a bit lower than 35psi?

Thanks for the info, now I'll have something more specific to ask him about when I call tomorrow.

I take it 35psi is the pressure that the injectors are rated at, correct?

I'm fairly sure that the higher rated set is ok. I've been running the as primaries with no problems.

I dunno the exact pressure listed, but it's very close to 35psi to 37psi.
Good luck!

I just called and asked. He said there's no way with their equipment to determine cc per min. Instead he said that it just tests it to see how closely the flow is matched. Apparently the values he gave me were from 30,000 pulses.

edit: These have to be 460s. Goddamn it.
