Guages, need some expertise =)

I'm getting ready to upgrade fuel, and install guages to see how my car runs. I need a boost guage, EGT, and possibly A/F guage (which should negate the EGT, right?). I'm wondering what guages you modded 7 owners have used with good results, as well as any other information you'd like to share. Also, are there any other guages that justify the cost, considering I'm going AVC-R/S-AFC very shortly? Thanks for the info =),

STAY AWAY FROM AUTOMETER, they are cheap, but not very accurate

Yeah, I figured/heard...

...About autometer. One other thing, are there any guages that come with a 4-wire O2 sensor? I thought I heard something about HKS having one, but I'm not sure. Thanks,

hey

i have autometer boost gauge and air/fuel. I think they are great for the price. Autometer depends on the series you get. I got the ultralight series and those work great. It always reads zero and gives an accurate reading, I hooked up my friends HKS boost gauge, quess what, I got the same exact reading on the HKS.

Conclusion, the autometer reads just as accurate than the HKS. I dunno, Unless your going to plan on running bigger turbo 15 psi or something , I wouldnt waste 300 or so bucks a pop for some fancy neon glowing gauges. If you are just planning mild mods like fuel, full exhaust and an intake and are running like 9 10psi, get the damn autometer and save a bunch. I think the ultra light series looks pretty sweet to IMO. I do however realize that you get what you pay for and have to agree, if you buy a 200, 300 dollar apexi boost gauge, it will be better and more accurate.... you always get what you pay for, Im just saying I've never had a problem with my autometer gauges and by testing the hks side by side, its just as accurate....

Has anyone ever made thier own A/F gauge for the FD?

Or maybe just know what the voltage readings are from the O2 sensor?

I just got done with making my own A/F gauge for my CRX. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, because my CRX isn't running yet...:P but it's so straightforward that it seems like it will work well.
