gslse rebuild

would it be worth it to tear apart the engine, replace apex seals, gaskets, rotors, etc, or just buy a rebuilt engine. which would cost more? thanks

You won't know until you tear the engine down and see what needs replaced. Therein lies the problem. Most of the bigger rebuilders won't accept an engine that has been torn down.

Buying a rebuilt engine costs more than doing it yourself. You save on shipping and labor, but may end up paying full retail for replacement parts. Final cost will be based on how many hard parts need replacing. How many miles are on the engine?

136k just gave it an ignition overhaul today and it runs perfectly. Might rebuild it for learning expirience in future when i have more money and an appropriate shop.
