Good A/F meter
 

Folks,
What is a good A/F meter to buy nowadays? Years ago I bought a Halmeter AF30 to go on my first gen car. Still works fine to this day & helped immensely in getting a Haltech fuel injection system set up & running. Have been out of the loop on what is available out in the world currently. Trying to avoid junk. I have a 3rd gen car.
Any suggestions?

Anybody have a model # to some of the recommendations given?
I have seen some of the bar graph displays & they look pretty slick. Leaning towards one of those but won`t rule out a numerical display. About what will it cost for the display with the sensor or would I save a few bucks by just buying the display & then finding a universal O2 sensor locally? :dunno:

AEM has one for around $215. A local performance shop should be able to order it for you if you don't want to deal with shipping.

The device is very accurate and you have your choice of using a single AFR gauge or buying the DM100 which is an LED display screen that can also be used to combine multiple gauges into one display. I Have two DM100s to display AFR, boost, vacuum, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, and egts.

Innovate widebands are the most accurate that I have found and there gauges/displays look great. They are the people Haltech turn to to make their wideband option.

The LC-1 kit with a gauge is only $229 and I am sure that if you shop around (ebay, etc) you will be able to find one under $200 shipped http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/index.html

Thanks folks! Good info given! I will look into all of your suggestions. Would like to keep an eye on the AFRs with the new engine going into the car. At least if something starts going goofy, I can catch it right away if it is detrimental to the engine. :)

Prior to the PLX gauges, I used an Innovate AFR and it is a good reliable unit.

I would argue for zeitronix over everything else.

Its a very good deal, and extremely easy to setup. Its also very accurate and reliable every time. No calibrations required etc...
