going to dealer with NO emisions

do you think the dealer would make a big fuss if i drove my car in for a compression check and it had no emmisions equipment on it and i live in an emmisions area?

also what is the going rate for a dealer compression check i called and they told me between 64 and 134 dollars

thanks
pinfield

Don't tell the dealer, if they ask, act surprised and say you bought it that way. Continue on and ask them to finish the job you asked for and are paying them to do and you'll get ahold of your exhaust guy and have that fixed straight-away.

Odds are they won't give a shit. If they do, they'll be more concerned about covering thier asses than narc'ing you out. If they do narc you out, Pittsburgh is only a few hours from my place, just long enough for the eggs in the trunk to start to smell. :D

most of your mazda dealerships could tell you anything about a rotory engine let alone your emissions and most of its hidden under the intake i wouldnt even worry about it.

I work at a Porsche Dealer. We get modded cars in all the time that could be of concern to either warranty or emissions. We don't give a shit. If anything, we talk to the guy who owns the car to find out what other mods he has done. Most mechanics are car guys. they won't try to get you in trouble.

Unless it directly effects a part that should be covered under warranty we don't care. I doubt you will have a problem with them.
