Question Gas in the Oil??? How bad is it?

My car was flooded a month or so ago, and I got my oil changed after I did the ATF trick.

The other day I opened my oil cap cause I was 1/2qt low, and saw some white foamy stuff in the filler pipe. I wiped some off, and it smelled like gas.

I'm getting the oil changed this week. What would cause this to happen and get in my oil? I have heard to change your oil after a major flood, which I did.

But how could the gas get into the oil like that??

I have searched the forum, but didn't find any answers to this question. I hope it isn't a bad thing that is or has happened.

Thanks
