Fuel question

I have a stock 90 T2. I installed a hi-pressure walbro 255 fuel pump and now the car floods heavily while starting and has low power. At about 3300-3600 rpms it stutters heavily and again at 5500-6200 rpms. I'm running the stock ECU.

I'm assuming I'm running WAY TO RICH. I say this because of the heavy flooding at start up and the heavy stutters right before the secondaries kick in around 3400ish rpms and again around 5500 when the secondaries really start to open up.

Is this an accurate assumption? I know I'm getting fuel and the fpr is working properly but that fuel pump runs close to 90 psi....Sooo?

okay ... bear with me here ...
how much pressure does that walbro 255 push? and what kind of pressure regulator are you using, stock or aftermarket?

it definitely sounds like flooding, but if the pump is the only thing you changed then, i'm guessing it has to be just pushing way too much pressure for the stock pieces to handle ...

do you have a pressure gauge installed?
