Fuel Pump

ok my ECU is cutting power to my Fuel pump relay, what do I do to trick the Relay to keep powering the Fuel pump?

cant you just wire the fp directly to the ignition or directly from the 12v power source with a toggle switch if desired..might be a stupid idea for reasons im not thinking of right now but its what i would do and id like to hear reasons why not. Dont mean to chase you around the forum but your problem has peaked my interest.

ok... heres my summed problem, The fuel pump is allways running on 12v unless the car is off right? if so ill just wire it up so i can go Boogidy boogidy boogidy... Its still wanting to crank up run then die

and what wires do what? I got 4 wires back there 2 grounds it looks like, I got 1 pure black thats kinda thick, a black and white that is just as thick, then i got a red and blue striped and a Blue and red striped wires what do these do...

ok... Ive hot wired the Fuel pump and its still losing power... maybe fuel injectors?

I'm not sure if your engine is completely stock or not, but if it it then I'm pretty sure the fuel pump does NOT get a constant 12 volts, its changes as the demand for fuel increases. If your car won't stay running, then there is most likely another problem. In the stock system, the AFM has to be plugged in so the ECU will read when the flapper door is opening, else it won't power the fuel pump relay. Like I said, I'm not sure of your setup and there could be a bunch of things causing the problem, but I doubt its a voltage problem.

Well... I think i found out what the problems is... Its still the ECU cause it will cut power to the fuel pump as well the fuel injectors
