Frist Video Production

This is one of the self-help video that i will be doing in the futrure, The Next segment will be a motor swap, These all will be free and stay that way. |
I've done some cleanings myself. When you hook up the air compressor, is the pressure actually turning the engine? Couldn't hardly tell from the vid! The solution I used in the past was usually fuel injector cleaner.
|
Yea the air compressor is turning the rotor on the rear and the other rotor is compressing and when the rear rotor opens to the exhuast the pressure drops and the front rotor pushes it backwards, and the rear rotor is filled with 110psi thus repeating itself agian.
Thanks for the Comments |
It would have been nice to have some numbers to see if it helped this engine. Before and after compression numbers.

I agree Tim! I did something similar to this to my 20b 3 years ago to free the stuck seals but never compression tested it. I took it a step furthur and used pieces of scotch bright pads and a bent screw driver to scrub the rotors faces so I could remove all the carbon from them also. There was however a huge difference before and after by just rotating the engine and hearing the pulses. Now that engine is apart for rebuild.

Well the numbers are in, After Tim suggested the post the compression, I put a started in that trans and spun the engine, I got pretty close to 105 on all 3 faces, so i am pleased on the out come.
