flywheel removal/replacement while motor is in car
 

dumb question, but armed with a beefy impact gun one could remove the flywheel without removing the engine. Such as when replacing a clutch. The idea is in regards to the RB lightweight steel flywheel, but the counterweight and flywheel are not in the budget at this exact moment. There would be no damage or risk to the engine?

nope, you're good. Removing the flywheel has no ill effects.
