first gen electrical problem
 

well, my battery is a-ok. but all of a sudden all the power goes out. no lights no stupid open door noise nothing. wats wrong with the electrical? i check the connections of the battery, but would it be a bad ground connection or something? :confused:

Bad ground, possible.

Check your fusible links first. Its a patch panel with what looks like 3 wires conneced into it near the battery and drivers side shock tower.

look at the cable that goes from the battery to the fusible links...Where it connects, there should be a bolt connecting the two wires(1/8-1/4 inch thick). Make sure that bolt isn't touching any other wires. Over time, mine sliced an extremely small cut into another wire. This would cause my 20amp engine fuse(fuse box under dash) to pop....I just happened to find it one night with about 5 guys looking under the hood and luckily saw the small spark. I had to bend the wire back a little and rotate the protective rubber boot.
