FD vs FC
Fd vs Fc which one is better. I was looking at the FD for a while but the price is gonna kill me. I have heard that they are about the same from my friend. So which is better an FC or an FD
|
If the inital cost of the FD is gonna kill you- stay away from it. It only gets worse as time passes.
The FC is cheaper- and more reliable. Its a easy choice financially. |
The FC is cheaper and more reliable. I have both and love both. (FD a little more) There are also options for supercharging the N/A versions so power will be up to 274-276 rwhp. I'm saving for the GF's charger right now! Atkins Rotary/Camden superchargers is the place(one of many probably)But thats who I deal with. And you could always convert to a T II but at that point you might as well buy the FD. Can't go wrong either way in my opinion!! Good luck and let us know which you choose!

Both are great! I have a FD and even though I have gone through two FD's and two motors, I still love them! I'm thinking about buying a FC also, they are a lot more reliable than FD's and the ones that I have driven were fun as hell to drive. So either rotary you choose, I'm sure you'll be very pleased with it! I know I wouldn't trade mine for the world!

Im desiding to get a FC or FD also but I have the money for an FD but dont like the fact of shit going wrong constantlly.Im sure there both equal in capability of performance.

so whats the deal with fd's never heard of them breaking more often the fc's...huh strange stuff maybe one of you guys can enlighten me. Thanks

FC isnt better than an FD, not in hanbdling atleast. The difference about the engine is all the solenoids and vacuum hoses to the seq. turbos, other than that it's the same reliability.

I agree the FC is a great car. I have owned 4 of them (2 TurboIIs). I also have an FD. Financially, the FC is better because it is cheaper to buy, mod and maintain. It can also handle better than a stock FD with a few mods, and and handles great right out of the box. However, if money is not an issue I am convinced that the FD is superior to the FC in every way. Remember the FD was designed to improve upon the FC. It looks better stock than an FC with a body kit (I understand that's a matter of opinion). It also handles better stock, and handles better if both cars are upgraded equally. If you put the same mods on both cars, the FD will always be faster. The REW motor in very different from the 13BT. It makes slightly more power, and takes more heat. Of course you can make incredible power with a TurboII motor, some people use third gen motor parts to achieve this. The REW is basically a race motor from factory. People UPGRADE to 93 motors in their TurboIIs but NO ONE puts 13BTs in their 93. I hope I did not offend second gen owners because I love FCs with all my heart but I had to set the record straight.
