FD Suspension and Boost Problems

I have a couple of problems with my rx7. First off, under rapid accelaration, after the blow off valve goes off, i get this really loud coarse sound from the under the hood on the drivers side. It sounds like a hoover on a hardwood floor. Im pretty sure its a boost leak from the intercooler piping but so far everything looks like its in place. There is a great power loss and I seem to have some really wierd bouts of turbo lag.

Next, I think theres some part of the suspension with the problem. When i go over bumps there is some clunk, or you get the sense that somethings not really tight. It almost feels like there is skip in the wheels, and like im running race shocks on the street because of the feel of impact over bumps.

Lastly, this sound a little wierd but my gear box seems to feel different at times. Sometimes when I used to shift it would feel very smooth, like the shifter would go into gear with more bounce. Now when i shift it feels like the shifter is almost hitting a groove, and shifting feels a little more loose but rigid.

Greddy front mount, type s bov, act strip/strip, full street port.

For you to start off, get a boost gauge, and find out your boost pattern

Suspension, sounds like the old bushings in the back are bad. Replace them and the clunking noise will go away. This is pretty pricey too, I just had mine done and it was a bit over 1k at a shop.

Try replacing your tranny fluid with Redline fluid.

SUspension... friend of mine had similar problem.. one day he decided to swap his struts, and after installing the new struts, the noise went away.. so, it could be just simple as checking all the bolts.. that what we thought..

That, or your strut mounts (Pillowball mounts) could be bad. either way it is going to be an expensive fix for such a small noise. Btw, either way it will have an effect on the way your car handles.
