exesive water pressure

I just bought a 84 GS and have a small confusing problem
The add coolant light is on when the radiator is compleatly full and it spits water like mad out the overflow hose and if I live the cap off it just bubbles over and its cold
I have removed the thermostat thinking it was stuck but it did not help I then removed the exaust pipe thinking it could be a cloged cat and blowing exaust past the side of the rotors and that just made it worse .
The motor seems to have sufficient power no water in oil no oil in water sort of sputters from idle to 3500 rpms

PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN
THANX

Check radiator hoses to make sure they aren't collapsed with engine running....Lower one in particular.
I have also seen inner layer come apart and restrict water flow, but outer part of hose looked normal.
Just a thought.

Never run a rotary without the thermostat. That will lead to rapid overheating and engine failure, since the thermostat also controls the bypass. No T-stat = coolant doesn't circulate through the engine.

Anyway, it sounds like the engine has already been overheated to the point of death.

yeah ... it sounds like you already either warped something or else a water O-ring is gone ... either way, i think your motor is toast.

:(
