Engine will not start

Hi

I just had an engine swap done on my 1987 rx7 turbo . And it ran strong for like 30 miles or so and than i just died i had the starter and the alternator checked and there just fine. And i can hear the engine turn over just fine and the fuels geten there but i can figure out why it will not start also i just put in brand new spark plugs and new spark plug wires would this have anything to do with why it will not start because i put them in and it worked ok for a little wile. Is there someway i can test the ecu because i think the problam is electerical but im not shure thanks.

well you gotta check all the basics

1. fuel
2. spark
3. compression

and you said you had fuel so thats no prob, now for spark take out a spark plug ground it, and see if it sparks, if it doesnt check everything that goes inline with it cap, rotor, wires, so on and so fourth.

with compression you can do this the easy way or the harder way, you can take a plug out and put your finger over the hole to see if there is any air being pushed out thus you have compression BUT you dont know how much. so the hard way is getting a compression gauge screwing it in the sparg plug hole and then compare the two compressions. if they are roughly the same your good.

YET if you do not have compression then we have a major problem, you engine does not make high enough compression to start the engine sooooooo i would look into rebuilding to get your compression back.

happy testing

is this another flooded engine? Once in a blue moon my car wont start! i put in a fuel cut switch i turn the fuel pump off then it starts Then after it catches i turn the switch back on before it dies! just an idea! or try removing the INJ fuse Turn it over and put it back in! this is the only no start problem i have ever ran into
