Engine storage
What is the best way to store an engine without having it go bad (approx 6 months) the engine is very strong, but due to the lack of a body, just needs to be stored until I can get an other one set up for it. Thanks for any help :newbie:

When i stored mine for a few months, all i did was just turn the engine by the flywheel a couple of times to get the juices flowing; every other week or when i remebered. Had no problems. 6 months isnt too long.

take somelightweight engine oil and chuck it into every orifice of the engine, then stuff rags in the ports and leave the plugs in.. then turn the motor by hand to work the oil into the seals and onto the inner surfaces of the housings. mousture can really foul up a sitting engine, and a good oil bath helps protect it. dont use mmo or antifreeze as the agents in them are aggressive on the rubber seals.
