Engine seized!!! Help!!!

I replaced the rear stationary gear o ring, put everything back and engine will not turn!!
Is there a specific way to do this without the damn front bearing dropping on me?

sounds like the rotor moved on you during installation and its now jammed, Take it apart and inspect once again.

even if rotor was pointing at 6 o'clock? stationary gear went in smooth as can be and gear lined up exact.

Was the engine out of the car with the front of the engine pointing toward the ground? Do you have to test the end play after replacing the rear gear?

engine was in car, tranny was out of car. nothing was turned or moved until gear and flywheel were back on.

can the front torrington bearing drop even with the entire front assembly still in place?

Front assembly will only come apart if front main bolt is loosen, The issue is in the rear

Ok...3 times with same results...flywheel torqued down, engine seizes up....i take it off and it mo es freely. I even put motor at tdc and took off rear gear to double check for anything and it all looks good, gear slid back in with no issues.

Anyone got any thoughts?

You are rotating the rotor a bit each time correct? You don't need to tourqe the flywheel each time until you find the correct position.

When i replaced oring first time out, nothing moved and gear went in without having to even put pressure on it. I lined it on the dowel and it went in with no effort whatsoever.

Is it possible to over torque the flywheel to the point of seizing engine? I just put flywjeel back inand endplay is right at .05mm and engine spins right as it should.
I think im just gonna leave as is and move on.....
