Engine Job

My FD has been sitting for a couple of years. Should I do an engine job before I go to single turbo ? i did an engine job with a street port six months prior.

was it sitting with all of the fluids drained?

mdefreitas 05-09-13 11:18 AM

No, the fluids was not drained

evo_koa 05-09-13 11:49 AM

its tough to say if it is in good condition, i would replace all fluids and try to start it, then go from there

Damn I already started stripping out the turbos and stock intercooler

mdefreitas 05-09-13 12:25 PM

and bolted on the new front mount intercooler already..... Is there a tread on here with step by step instructions on how to replace all the seals Evo??

just to be clear, by "engine job" are you asking if your need to rebuild the engine? if so, then you shouldn't need to. I think it's safe to assume you haven't already done it, so go ahead and lube the combustion chambers, and put it through a few rotations by hand. at that point, you should be able to put it all back together with your single turbo system and fire it.
