engine builder please help explain this
 
I am doing a rebuild on my 13b, and i have one question about the rotor gear and the two stationary gear. I understand that on the rotors the gear side is suppose to ride on the two stationary gears the front and the back and that keeps the rotors at the right angle in relation to the e-shaft postion. However, the fsm does not state how to line up the back rotor to the stationary gear. what it does states is to line the front rotor up at the six o'clock position, but it does not specifiy the back rotor position. So what is there to prevent the two rotor form mismatching the timing, or the angle of the rotor in relation to the e-shaft. what if the back rotor is a few teeth off.
Only thing I can think of is the rotorhousing. the rotorhousing is shape in such a way that if you position the rotor wrong, one of the apex seal is going to be outside of the combustion o-ring, and you just can't get the housing on there. If you can get the housing over the rotor with the apex seal on there, you must be at the right spot. well I am just guessing, and talking out of my butt, so if I am wrong please let me know.
any help with explaining the timing or the angle difference of the two rotor would be welcome..

There's not really a way to mess this part up...the teeth of the gears are spaced in such a way that, while the e-shaft is still in the original position that it had to be in to slide into the front rotor, with the rear rotor inside the rear rotorhousing and the rear iron/stat gear being dropped on with the dowelpins lined up pretty close, the gears will mesh pretty much immediately, and if not, you simply wiggle the rear iron a little and then they will mesh.

Bottom line, if the rear iron bolts on, then you are good to go.
