Hello all,
I'm going to buy a complete Elford turbo setup in 2 weeks time. Its currently in the car- an original but very very very rusty rx7 converted by Vic Elford in '82. Its been rebuilt about 6 years ago but blew the rear core plug whilst left standing with no anti freeze.
Its cheap and me and Hannah will get to rob as much as we want from the car. so i'll grab everything i can. I will clean it up, fix core plug and plonk it into my rx3 to try it out. Easy swap.
questions though.. Is there anyone on this forum with good technical experiance on these engines? Apparantly they are good for 170bhp in standard tune....but...

can they be boosted up slightly? (allowing for standard compression ratio of the 12A)

Heres one I bought before getting the rx3- I bought it along with another rebuilt 12A and then sold the elford engine on for a profit hence getting a free 12A which is still running strong in rx3.



but this next one is a keeper!
