EGI Fuses

I have an 88 FC, and people are always talking about removing the EGI fuse (for stuff like compression testing, de-flooding, etc). Well I'm kind of confused, there are 2 and I was wondering what the differences were? I tried searching but couldn't really find anything about the difference between the two.

I'm assuming when people tell you to remove them, they mean both of them, but I really have no idea haha.

You have the COMP fuse and this powers the ECU and the Emission solenoids while the INJ fuse powers the coils and the fuel injectors. When people deflood they suggest pulling the INJ fuse so the injectors don't fire and add more fuel, but if one pulled just the COMP fuse that would do the same thing because the injectors and coils won't fire w/this fuse pulled because w/o power to the ECU these items are useless as well.

Ahh, okay that makes sense. Thanks.
