My dowell pin puller I take 2 old dowell pins and weld them together to make a T-handle and then I use one of the studs off the front iron, the 17mm that holds the power steering/AC bracket, well happens that it is the same thread as the ones on the dowell pins. Screw one side to the T-handle and screw onto the stuck dowell pin. The T-handle makes it easy to pull stubborn dowell pins. Hell you can smack it with a hammer if it's really bad.

I use a lug bolt. The lug bolts are the same thread size/pitch as the dowel pins.

If you're cursed with a non-12A car and thus have lug *nuts* and not bolts, just grab an FB or FC shift lever (not an SA, those are different!) and thread it in. FB/FC shift knobs are the same thread size/pitch, too....

As I see, there are many bolts that thread into it. Well Ill add one more, you can also use one of the 3 bolts that hold the motor mount on the passenger side(that goes bolted ontop of the oil pan). Some guy was selling those bolts with a welded on T for $10.

I got a brake caliper bolt and welded a T-handle to it. Used an old dowel pin between the threaded part and the T-handle.

i know this is late to help out the dowel pin puller problem but if you want to know the specific bolt to use i believe it is a bolt for the p/s pump. i went to a fastener store and bought the right bolt to replace that one and it turns out it is the same thread as the dowel pins. it is a M12 1.50 pitch 25mm long bolt... the M12 = 12mm in Dia. so if u want to go buy another bolt to make a t handle puller or wutever thats wut u ask for. Hope this will help sum1 in the future

Are we talking the dowel pin that holds the housings together on the engine? I just use a pair of vice grips with ducttape on the teeth... works grand.

Most of the time I can pull them out with my fingers. The bitch is taking the center housing off of the front rotor housing, the dowels are recessed...

Rear suspension bolts work too. 12mm x 1.5 I believe.
