Dissolving Castor Oil Gum/Varnish/Carbon
 

I was using Blendzall Racing Castor for my premix (in my '86 s4 7) apparently it was a bad idea cuz now my apex seals are stuck soild in the rotors...any ideas?! PLEASE!

-I've already tried: ATF, carb cleaners, brake cleaner (chlorinated), foaming engine degreaser...a torch...(the last seemed to work the best but it would cool off quickly, negating any progress) soo, I'm thinking...if there's a way I could get the engine up to operating temp I have chance to get it running again w/o disassembly!! :scratch:

You can give Amsoil Power Foam a try. I've used it to unstick frozen rotaries before. Just keep spraying a bit in every day and keep trying to break the engine free.

AMSOIL Power Foam Engine Cleaner & Degreaser

denatured alcohol. ie ethanol.

pour it in liberally and rotate the engine periodically while trying to keep it in the engine.

Well, got the seals all free'd up!! No tools, no treatments!! (none of them worked anyways, LOL)
Was able to get it started via a slightly longer than average tow...let it warm-up then took it repeatedly, VERY repeatedly to 7k+ rpm!! -I live near a section of the freeway that lets me do a continuous loop, approx 2 miles... Hahahehaha!! ROTARY POWER.
