Direct fire ign #4(L2) not firing
 
Cross post from the Adaptronic subforum just incase anyone here has any general ideas of what i might be doing wrong.

my setup is a 99 rx7, 13b single turbo running an adaptronic rx7 select series 8 ECU and i am trying to set it up for direct fire useing the sakebomb 1GN-1A 4 coil conversion kit, and a FFE 36-1 trigger wheel.

my problem is that the rear rotor is not firing wile cranking, specifically Ign #4 (L2) does not fire (T2 also doesnt fire but i think that is only because the ECU calculates the spark split when L2 fires)

i can however test ign #1(L1), 2(T1) and 3(T2) useing the adaptronic tuning software WARI and all of them fire with the test, but there is no way to test fire ign #4(L2) on this ECU. I have verified that all 4 of my coils and leads are good by swapping them around and testing, and i have verified that there is a good connection between the pin on the ECU (pin # 1k which is aux output 1) and the trigger wire on the coil (the blue wire on the sakebomb harness), my settings are also correct from what i can tell, i have my ECU set to the FFE 36-1 trigger with direct fire ignition (which switches Aux output 1 to IGN #4(L2)), and i have verified that the CAS is picking up every tooth on the trigger wheel. yet when i crank the engine over still no spark to that coil!!! (also note that #1 (L1) and #2(T1) are firing wile cranking)


Edit: Nevermind, think i may have just firgured it out, although it says to use Aux output 1 (pin 1k on the ecu harness) i guess internally when you switch Aux output 1 to direct fire it switches the pin from 1K to 4O, going to go check all of this now and will report back with many brapps

UPDATE: ok good news, switched the wireing around and now ign#4(L2) fires, however for whatever reason #3(T2) still has no spark during cranking yet it does fire with the test function...
so as it stands ign 1, 2 and 4 now fire during cranking as they should be but i have no spark on #3 during cranking but can manually fire the plug with the Adaptronic tuner program test function...so it is connected to IGN#3 properlly but is not getting a signal to fire...2 steps forward 1 step back. so close...so close.

UPDATE 2: so apparently #3 just doesnt fire during cranking for some reason, but when running it is working perfectly normal...that seems strange to me, anyway all running good now, all 4 fireing when they are supposed to be firing accept some minor hiccups that should be easy to figure out then off to tuning!!!
