Damnit, race rad doesnt have heater core pipe.

So I recently bought an fd race rad, and well it doesnt have an outlet for my heater core hose. Id rather not eliminate it, and id rather not have a pipe welded on. What Im looking for is an adapter of sorts, something that will "T" onto the exisiting outlet pipe. This way I wont have to have the rad welded.

Does anyone know if these exist? Or should I just have the rad welded? Im not sure i know or trust any welders to do this job.

Get one of those hose adapter things that you can screw a sender in..then adapt it .I got one for my Temp gauge, and looking at it I am sure you could put a Fitting on that and run it to your Heater core.

what are you talking about?.. the heater doesnt route through the rad.. it goes off the bottom of the outlet back to the back of the block.. :S.. this adapter isnt needed unless you dont have a fd?..

Hhaha yeah im likely just going to fab one up, im nt going to weld on the rad incase i decide to sell it one day. I already need to have my y pipe extended a tad, and a few other odd welding jobs, so ill go custom on its ass! Was hoping the sold something like what i wanted online but i never found anything. Which is why I asked!

I ran into the same problem.... my '87 Turbo II had the bottom heater core hose that ran to the radiator. I went to put in my Koyo...bam no hose nipple.... I had a crappy radiator laying around.... cut off the bottom outlet with the nipple and cut the bottom radiator hose in half, cut everything to length and it works great.... the Koyo with the Blackmagic E-fan keeps the engine SUPER cool.... it's nice.... a lot better than I even expected.
