Crank but won't turnover (88 S4 coupe)
Exactly as the title says, here's some things to note:
- Starter will turn but turns slower the longer its being energized. This might not be an issue just yet because we've used a Battery Charger and it'll crank like a godsend - Used starting fluid (spraying into the intake through the throttle body) while cranking the engine. It'll try to start and rarely turnover. However once it does, it dies soon after - There's an oil leak, however the car has had this oil leak long before its no-start issue. - Has been sitting for 2 years - Rust present - Sludge all over the left side and front of the engine (a lot has been cleaned off at this point) but the right side (with the manifolds) are perfectly fine - A small hose behind the air compressor is ripped - Lifted the secondary injectors a bit, they're slightly wet with gasoline (post starting attempts) **edit: NA 13b |
