Coolant level buzzer
Here is my deal I have a 91 rx n/a that had various things bad , long story short I pulled motor & trans replaced with my 87 motor & trans out of my wrecked 87 . I changed every thing over to carburated ( witch is great, retaining the stock crank angle sensor and coill packs) but a mouse chewed the coolant level sensor wire . After trying to re connect, ground the buzzer will not stop. Does any one know how to eliminate the buzzer in the cluster I don't need it never liked it to begin with . Thanks in advance . I would be happy to keep any one up dated about the car swap/setup.

just ground the sensor wire out--that way it'll still buzz when you get low on oil.

I tried that and it still buzzes I just want the buzzing to go away. I am not looking for a temparary fix . I want to compleatly remove the buzzer.

i don't recommend it, but if you really have your heart set on it, it's inside the gauge cluster. pop it out and carefully pull it apart. just clip one of the wires.
you could also, if you choose, find a 12v led and use that instead of the buzzer. |
