"Cool Flex" Radiator Hose
 

Anyone ever use this type of hose? Their website claims lifetime guarantee and drops engine temp. Sure would like to get some opinions.Thanks!

It's a radiator hose. It needs to move water and coolant not more than 2 feet. Its main point of failure is in the clamps that hold it to the waterpump and radiator.

If you want it for looks OK, but if your car needs the extra cooling that bad then you need to be upgrading something other than a hose.

I'm not overly concerned about looks,my car is not a show car. As far as extra cooling,of course it is obvious that it would make very little difference.Guess I should have worded my question differently.Mostly I wanted to know if anyone has ever used this product,was it easy as it looks to install and any problems with it.

If it is not application specific and is a "universal" type of hose, then I would reccomend against it. The universal ones that have the wire in them SUCK. Especially for the bottom hose. I used one for a bit and it kinked. Not good. If it isnt, then I dont know try it out and tell us.

I am using Cool Flex hose. They are real nice but I do not think they lower coolant temps. I had to move my radiator do to the fact I did the easy way of mounting a FMIC. I just mounted it in front of the radiator. So anyway I am using them they look pretty cool and the fact that they probably will last almost forever is cool to. Just watch your arm if your working on your car as those metal hoses get hot and will burn you. They are real easy to install you just cut em with a hacksaw and make your bends and clamp them on. I hope that helps.

I was going to use that stuff because of how flexible the hose is and it handles high heat but you need a rubber adapter on each end and you have to buy a minimum length and cut it. I was able to get a hold of a longer bottom hose and didn't have to buy it. It's pretty expense but when you do custom stuff, you are limited on what you can use.
