compression tester

I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a difference between a regular compression tester and if there is a specific one for rotary engines, if so were could i buy one?
thank you spencer

There is definitely a difference. There are two models of rotary engine testers that I know of.

Digital readout model. This one is expensive, and I don't like it anyway since you just get one number for each chamber at the end.

Paper readout model. I like this one... way cheaper and you get to SEE the results.

Oh and if you just want one test done... it's cheaper just to get the dealer to do it to be honest.

Last I checked, the digital ones were like 1-2000 dollars, and the paper ones were about 200-500.

Ya IMO also the paper read out one's I like better.

And either are cheap which sucks lol.

Try sending a PM to Rx7_Nut13B, he has built aftermarket ones you can hook to your laptop to read the data. I have seen it in person, and seen data from his test of the unit.

Much cheaper than a factory unit and still provides the same data.
