Clutch Hard Lines
So, I am in the process of my huge Rebuild / Restoration Project.
I am starting with the engine bay. Well, ive removed the engine, all lines, brackets, etc. I discovered the Slave Cylinder was leaking and rotted/rusted everything. So im going to replace the 6-8" of rubber hose with Braided lines (i will be replacing my brake lines aswell). But i am at a stand still with the hard line. I am interested in making my own Hydraulic Clutch / Brake lines. Can anyone point me in the right direction? i cant seem to find any hard line. i need like 6 feet of it. And is there any tool i can buy that is kind of a all in 1 style tool (set) for this type of job? Thanks a bunch guys! |
If you look over on rotary car club there is a thread on de-ABSing the FD. It's got a link to a good source for the hard lines.
Making your own hard lines shouldn't be *too* hard, just get a good bender and a proper double-flare tool. |
Or you can just grab a piece of Brake line with metric ends and shape it to your needs.
