cars running really crazy????(FD)

alright i hope that somebody can tell me what the heck is going on with my car. the car is running really crazy. it has been stailing out . it doesnt do it all the time just some time. i was sitting at a stop light and went to shift it into 1st and whammo car cuts off. was kinda like it wasnt getting enough gas. so i filled up the tank, and still have same problem. after playing with the shifter i noticed that any time im at idle and shift into a gear it feels like the clutch isnt all the way engauged. i do have a check engine light but that is for the egr. (i have a slightly modded engine ( no emissions) and true twins. if any body can help me on that one too that would be great. well i hope someone somewhere can shed some light on this. thanks in advance. scott

How hi is your idle? Is it smooth? Is there any other problem with the car besides the occasional stall?

When was the fuel filter changed? Spark plugs? Anything wrong with your tranny?

well my idle is smooth and i have brand new hks racing plugs, i really dont think anything is wrong with my tranny. not to sure when the fuel filter was changed last. the only other problems that i have is the egr check engine light. if there are any other problems im not aware of it.

Sit in idle and just step on your clutch to see if it'll shutoff. If it does then you may have a bad clutch switch.

thats just it whenever i push the clutch in to change gears it feels like it wants to quit. its only if i put the car into a different gear. if i push the clutch theres no problem.
