Wanting to build a project car!

Alright guys and gals. Dont hate on this. But I've got an 84 Transam just sitting around collecting dust. I'm wanting to do something that isn't really heard of. I'm wanting to put a high power rotary in it but I'm not sure we're to start. I don't know how many rotors can be in a rotary motor or anything. Like I said don't hate. I'm new to rotary in general. Is there a 8 rotor? Because I think that that would be awesome lol. The old 305 in it just isn't gonna cut it. I want a high revving fire spitting beast lol any advice would be amazing

Spend a few weeks reading the existing threads/posts on the board
Then come back and read your post in this thread and see how it looks to you lol

I wouldn’t waste your money on an 8 rotor... Buy a 9 or 10 rotor from japan and your set.

Thanks rxtasy

How much power is the 6 rotor making? It sounds great. I'm needing something that has enough power to throw around the heavy Transam lol I'm wanting something 600 hp plus.

Thanks for the help.

I think I've decided on a six rotor. Does anyone know of a company that makes them or would I have to make my own? And if so any pointers?

Easiest to do it yourself. Just buy a couple used engines and stack them together.

I wouldn't think it's as simple as that lol. Wouldn't I need a custom eccentric shaft for the added rotors?

I know pulse performance can build them but for a 6 rotor would be around 100k

Well, that's the thing, they don't actually build anything. They just slap together JB Weld and Plastic Putty parts and send you a bill.

Given you're dropping this into a Trans Am, which is really only 3000lbs with pretty stout chassis, I'd say go 2-Rotor 13B-REW + EFR8374 Turbo Kit on e85 Flex Fuel w/ Haltech Elite 2500 and call it a day. You'll crack 550whp with 6x ID1700x injectors and 2x Bosch 044 Fuel Pumps and be reliable.
