Idle problem FC

Bought my first car yesterday, no mechanical problems apart from an idle issue. If I start it up and dont give it gas, it’ll die. Depending on how hot it is (whether its been in my garage or ive left it outside) i need to rev it longer which is a pain. previous owner said the throttle position sensor isn’t liking the weather and that he always just warmed it up but id like to be sure it isn’t a bigger issuue and even better, how i can adjust it to not stall. thanks!

The first three things I'd start with is a compression check, vacuum leak check, and adjust TPS.
