car wants to dies after rev
 

When im idleling, if I rev on it (4-5k) the rpms drop down so far the car will cut off. i doesnt cut off all the time but it does some time. When the rpms get low, the car starts shaking( kinda like a motor with blown seals), eccept not so harsh.. Im suppost to be idleling at 1k. I just had somebody check my charge from the altenator, it was charging great.
I have also notice when I go through cold start in the morning the car backfires every time the rpms are brought up(it sounds like a f**kn gun shoot). My plugs are filed Im sure.
has anybody had aproblem like this before?? The oldy things I can thing of is plugs, what do you guys think???

This is a common problem if you have a 10lb. or less flywheel. If not check dash-pot ajustment, TPS ajustment, Start there, Please list mods if any.

sometimes the car dies while driving. I had the altenator checked and its charging fine. The car hasnt been dieing while driving sence I changed the plugs. It still tries to though. Im thinking about dumping more fuel at idel. Right now its as lean as it will go at idel(any less then the car hunts for idel).

yes ... i would agree that the flywheel is the probable cause. that, combined with the large streetport will probably run amuck with the ECU's calculations for the engine because it winds down so much faster.

i've heard of Porsches acting the same way with light flywheels. the common solution there is to make the ECU think that the A/C is on all the time, so it calculates fuel for a stronger idle ... maybe you can program the Haltech to do something similar?

yea, you can increase pulse width or find a way to increase the load for lower rpms... (same concept as having the A/C or the headlights turned on) it should help.
