Car Problems

Well at least you have some one working on it, that has
worked on rotarys before. so thats good. Now that you
were overheating it and it wasn't letting you now. That
sucks. Thats like the worst thing you can do to a rotary.

Good luck.

Double post sorry

Yea i know...and the thing was...the place where i bought the car supposedly fixed it before i bought it...thats what pisses me off even more.
But anyway..i spoke to the dealer today..and i told them the situation with the car..and they said that they'll hold back the car payments for 2 months so that i can save up for the engine (because they know that i can't come up w/ that money with my type of salary AND pay the car payment) SO that was nice enough to do that for me...(even though those fuckers should do it for free because they didn't fix the thermostat thing when they were supose to...) But..atleast they're helping me out wit that...
well, if i don't post anything else tonight...HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! Bye bye ;)

Hey whats up? Well a couple of days ago, i called the mechanic's office so that i can speak to the mechanic that is going to work on my car. Well, a girl picked up the phone and i asked her if i can speak to the mechanic and she put me on hold so that she can find him..she came back to the phone and said that he wasnt there and she hung up on me. >=0 what a bi-atch!! lol I then called again this morning during break and i told him that so far i have 470 and if he can start working on the car because i need that car badly for school and mainly to get me from here to there....and he said no because he needs the money upfront so that he can have the money to get the parts...that ass!!
It wasnt even my fault...they were supose to fix the thermostat and instead, they attached a wire and thats it..so i dont even know if they're pulling my leg.
Chiristmas is around the corner and i don't even think i can get anyone anything until the check after thattt..=/
Stress...stress....
Well anyway, here's my email if you ever want to email me...islandgrlrx7@aol.com
Well take care...:-D Byebye

Holy crap, theres got to be someone round there that can help her out. If not, this car is going to cost you a lot more money than 1500 dollars. I would sell it until you graduate and get a job, use it as motivation to succeed:).

Unfortunately, given the way things are going ... I may have to agree with jodeny at this point.

Stay away from people in your area. I'm not sure if those people TRULY know what they're doing and I would hate to see you get shafted.

Here's 2 suggestions ... you said you have about $500 so far.

Scenario 1: Have your Rx-7 towed home. Park it. Buy a cheap POS and drive it until you are able to fix the Rx-7.

Scenario 2: Why don't you try to find a junkyard motor (or used motor) and have it put in the car to get it running (and keep your core!!!). I know I told you that a rebuild would be better, and I still stand by that statement, but I'm thinking, you should sell the car after that. I have 2 reasons. The first reason is this, you're in school and you NEED wheels to get around. You simply won't have the time that this car seems to require to get it done right. You can use the money from the Rx-7 for a car that's easier to get repaired by the morons that seem to surround you. The second reason is this, if you sell it as is, especially if people know something is wrong with it, then you're going to be at the mercy of the buyer - which pretty much means you're going to get screwed. For now, just try to minimize your loss - that's all. When you graduate, then you can get another Rx-7 when you'll have a job (hopefully) and more time.

That's just my 2 cents

Let us know what's up ...

agreed here. and learn, a lot. information and knowlege are your friend and will help you spot bs that some people, like these mechanics, will throw at you. reading this thread it sounds like you had a coolant leak, internal or not, and the car overheated, warped and caused this oil leak and probably bad compression on at least one rotor. if so you should have gas in your oil.

What shop in Kissimmee are you taking our car to? I know several good people that/shops that could help you. I am just curious which "only RX-7" in Kissimmee is telling you all of this.
