Car loses power halfway on throttle.

I have a 1990 turbo fc, and IM having a very strange problem that not even the rotary shop by can figure out. Basically when I push the throttle down about halfway the engine starts to cut out and putter, then if I lift my foot up bellow halfway the car gains its power back. So I cant accelerate past half throttle without the car losing its power and puttering.

The rotary shop by me who looked at it for about a week said they thought it was a bad air intake sensor and replaced and it still had no effect, so they suggested it may be the wire harness. Oh also when I ever I step on my brake or turn my lights on my radio cuts out and the lights in the car dim for a second. These problems kind of happend close to each other.

Can anyone help me out?

Thank you

First of all, who the F*CK is this idiot "rotary shop" guessing it's the air temp sensor???
Please tell us so the rest of us AVOID this place!

Second, are you running the stock ECU?
Do an error code scan - it should tell you what is wrong with your car.
There's a good chance you'd get an OMP error.

Else, your TPS is bad...

Check your MAF sensor. When mine went bad I had similar issues.

And tell the "shop" your brought your car to to take your money and shove it up their ass.
