Car has been sitting with blown Apex seal for 2 1/2 months, why coolant in chambers?

Ok so i have been having my car setting since the beginning of november with a cracked apex seal and i just pulled the motor last night. I left the car sit with all fluids left inside it because i planned on pulling it a little sooner than this, but anyway it had a 50/50 mix of coolant and was full of oil.

I just pulled to motor out and both working chambers where filled to the exhaust ports with coolant! I just had a soft seal rebuild done 1000 miles prior and drove the car for a month paranoid about overheating it due to the fact that that is what caused my last rebuild. It had no signs of coolant seal leaks before i laid it down. no hint in the exhaust, no smoke, no presure in the coolant, nothing. Does anyone know anyother way that it could have ended up like this? it has been sub zero weather the last few days, i hope it didnt freeze. but it is premixed 50/50 antifreeze so that shouldnt be the case. Is the only answer that i somehow blew a few coolant seals?!?!

Might have had a crack in the water jacket.

would it be a crack in the center iron water jacket? there was no sign of coolant in my oil or vice versa.
