can someone tell me exactly how the mech. omp works?
 

the rod attached from the omp to the throttle. i wanna know if by disconnecting it does that stop the omp from metering oil into the combustion chamber.

or is there still very little metered?

There will still be some metered probably, since the pump is still turning.

would be nice if someone actually tested it to see if it does. anyways thanks felix for your input. i was running my omp before and my plugs where all caked up.

i was running certified premix (8 ounces to tank full) and full synthetic in the engine with the omp working. thats a :nono: i learned the hard way, so i figured a quick fix would be to disconnect the omp rod. well i guess im gonna have to run it disconnected for a while and see what the plugs look like after i put some miles on em.

if they still appear all cakey then im gonna have to ditch the oil lines and plug up the omp. can just leave the omp there or im gonna have to take that out to. i just dont want oil all over the place as i dont have anywhere to work on my car, my damn apt. complex wont allow me to fix my rexy.
