Bur9eq14 vs re9bt spark plug question
I use bur9eq on my turbo rx7. Just wondering if the re9bt used on the rx8 are a better option? They look similar to the racing spark plugs. Anybody have any good success with them as a upgrade? Thanks

anyone?

you are correct, they are the racing plugs, but in a street heat range. they misfire less than the EQP's do, so it runs smoother. they also last way longer. its usually a good upgrade, although they like a slightly leaner mixture, i tried a set in a stock FC and it didn't like it.
the reach of the trailing plugs is a little different, so i don't like to used those either, but everyone else seems to do fine |
I see they are expensive. Cheapest I found was about $60. They better last. I can't get more than 3k miles out of bur9 before they are burned. Idk if the msd or what but I burn the leading plugs quick

not that this is the greatest example but my friends Rx8 got the plugs changed @30k, like it was supposed to, and then didn't get changed again until 90k. they were done @90k, but they are supposed to be! |
60k miles out of the second set is a stretch. Even on a normal piston engine. I'm going to give them a try. Thanks j9
