Building up Rotary Engine

coming from a nissan/inline-4 type,
i really don't know much about the rotary,
i was wondering if i want to hit the 600 hp mark
what type of engine build up do i have to do?
is there such thing as "forged pistons" for rotarys?
tell me the list, i know about computer managments and everything
just i need to know about the "BLOCK"

Sorry, No forged anything in the rotary world. All the internal stuff is stock , pretty much. You can have rotors lightened, but that won't give you any more HP. Only lets you accelorate a little faster and rev a little hogher. for 600 hp all I can say is a T88 turbo on a bridge port will do that for you easily. Peace.

is this for any rotary? because i'm planing get a turbo2 engine or a 13b-rew

I would go with a 13b-REW personally because I am pretty sure you can get 600hp out of it, and I'm not sure if you can do that out of a older TII motor, but you might be able to. I think you will need a bridgeport and a huge turbo. My suggestions, if you hear a term you don't know, do a search for it on the forum to find out more and then ask question, and if you are serious about 600hp, spend a little time in the single turbo section as alot of the higher HP guys go in there more often. And the closest thing to a "block" in the rotary world is the "housings", and the "rotors" are sort of like the "pistons" and of course a rotary doesn't have most of the stuff a normal piston engine has inside...

Mike-
Is there a City College offering a class on rotaries???..I thought the only place that did was thru Mazda. They sent their techs to rotary schools to learn how to work on this cars/motors. Let me know where so i can take it with you!:D
