building a rotary bike (atv)

I am in the process of rebuilding a 13B NA. I am planning on turbocharging and porting the motor out, with both ports and turbo being very large. A couple of my friends have spare metal laying around that we are going to build a bike frame out of. What would be the best option to use for the drivetrain and rear end? would i want to get a rear end out of a TII or what? I have a Bayou 220 that is shaft driven that i could use, but the differential on the 220 probably wouldnt hold up to 300-350HP

sould like it will be a good project cant wait to see it

marix1521 08-28-04 02:25 PM

yeah, i know DeWayne... i'll die, but as long as i will it to you, it's ok, right?

will a miata tranny bolt up to a 13B NA motor?

i wanted to build a rotary quad a while back, but i wanted the rotary from the norton bike that won a championship, 150hp@10,000rpm 244ccx2 rotors :) 588cc rotary making 150hp, mmmmmm

i dont remember the miata tranny and rearend can hold much power
those miata guys with big power uses the FC turbo tranny , rearend ....i dont know exactly which one is good

yes, but think of 350 HP and ~700lbs

can anyone say 7.5 1/4 mile?

oh yeah, and i'm going to go with some type of upgraded seals... i dont know what... possibly the Hurley Swivel Tip seals, so that i can rev higher... possibly 14-16K

Agent_D 08-28-04 04:40 PM

14-16k with a turbo?? why no peripheral port an n/a, unless you can find a turbo to boost to that rpm, which im sure is possible

marix1521 08-28-04 05:17 PM

changed my mind... just going to get a good porting done and a big friggin turbo.... like a t78 on 19lbs or so....

also, should i go auto or customize a manual tranny?

Hey Jyrome, you want to find me some pics of that bro?

Thanks,
Matt:)

PS hey Matrix1521, you do realize that in your signature, COCAINE is spelled wrong right? I hope i'm not the first to point this out to you and it's just not a typo.

your post was 100% worthless.... yes, i realize it's a typo, yes you are the first person to comment about it, and go to www.hurleyrotary.com and you can look at the concorde all you want....

also, you spelled my name wrong, which YOU made a typo.... it's marix, not matrix. you also could have used the only possibly usefull part of your post in a PM to jyrome. thank you, please exit the internet.

your numbers are by far incorrect. it's 400HP at 11K rpms :)
