Building 3d printed rotary, had a question for you guys
Hey guys so im building a 1/3 scale 13b for my mechanical engineering project. my question was, does the lobe on the e shaft which the rotor sits on rotate the rotor, but also slip when the rotors speed is reduced by the stationary gear? I know that the rotor is spinning 1/3 the speed of the e shaft, but that wouldnt be possible unless the rotor was slipping on the e shaft. If you guys could clarify it would be a big help. i couldnt find the answer anywhere. Thanks :icon_tup:

i'm not sure i understand the question, but yes the rotor spins on the shaft. the gears give the rotor its planetary motion
if you haven't found it yet, try googling for Kenichi Yamamoto's book, called 'Rotary Engine'. |

I found this picture online which might help answer your question. At least what I think your question is.
