blows smoke can you help??

hi all ,it seems i have a problem with my motor..my car is a 1995 fd3s the motor has been rebuilt, mildported, dowled ,ra super seals, cleararanced and has comp bearings. The turbo is a t04z, i have a pfc,etc etc anyway i got the car dynoed and on 15psi i made 391hp at the wheels i drove the car for about a day and every thing was fine, three days later i went for a long drive about an hour and when i stoped i noticed it was blowing white smoke.I let it rest for about an hour same thing again white smoke, i drove it home and on the away when i came up to a set of traffic lights when the fans came on it would sound like a bridge port?????i took it back to the tunner and there was nothing he could do....he also noticed and pointed out that my oil metering put had been removed and blocked off,he also asked if i was running premix and i said no because i thought the car still had the omp connected and my engine builder never told me to always run premix he only said to run it to bead in my seals???boys any ideas on what is wrong with my car let me know.....

White smoke is usually a good indicator of coolant being burnt. I would definantly keep a check on the coolant level. If you do not have an oil injection (omp or mop), and you haven't been pre-mixing, you probably already did damage to the hard seals and the housings. Hate to tell you that, but that's more than likely it.

if it was coolant then that would indicate a hole in the water jacket seal, the smoke that i see lingures ie hangs around and dosent smell sweet like burning coolant

check your coolant level..... but like Bad 83 said... don't get your hopes up on your motor being alright. Hows your oil pressure?

rxsexen 01-06-10 08:07 PM

on an fd its hard to say because all the oil preasure gauges seem to play up

LBC_FC3S 01-07-10 01:20 AM

check the rad hoses for pressure build up or just rent that tool from vatozone...

You are premixing now, right!

Are you using coolant?

Your engine builder sounds like a complete moron. What's next, delete your thermostat without telling you?

if your coolant level drops then yes its passing coolant into the rotor housings. same thing happened to me twice.... youll find out when you tear the motor apart. check the o ring grooves for the water jackets and make sure there isnt any type of corrosion wear.

Wow. I would avoid that builder in the future.
