Batery of alternator!!! what do you think

Ok i was driving to school and my radio just cut off and my gauge lights went dim, i just thought it was somthing with the fuses or somthing so i just continued to school.. and noticed at low RPM's my car wasnt like going... it kinda was the feeling you get when you have dirty injectors, where you push the gas and the rpm's just hesitate to climb... i got to school tried to start the car and it wouldnt even click over.. what do you guys think it could be.. the alternatror or battery of both? let me know thanks

Both. Generally when one fails the other follows soon after. If the battery goes the alt has to work harder to keep it juiced up and survive any spikes in power draw. If the alt goes the battery gets drained faster and charged slower and takes a bigger hit from power spikes.

Probably battery. Replace that first, it's almost certainly dead.

Personally, I'd pull the alternator off and have the parts store test it while I was in getting a battery, just to make sure.

did you check voltage with the engine running?

Yup that exactly is what happened to me a few weeks ago. I replaced the battery and the alternator, and now it is good.

Happened to me last week, now my throwout bearing is gone. I'm feeling no love for my fb right now.

Aw man. Where's the love? Be reminded that these 7s have 15 years of age on them so they pretty much need the love!!!!
