Auxilary Ports vs. 4port 13B's

If you purchase a turbo'd RX-7 or a 12A, your rotary only has 4 intake ports. If u have a non turbo, it has 6 ports, because it has the two additional auxilary ports. I'm just looking for people who have had both engines and have an opinion on the aux ports. I'm considering putting a turbo on my 6port, but the aux's work through backpressure (i think), so would the turbo offset the timing on the aux's opening & closing?

You could hook the actuators up to pressure between the throttle body and the turbo. That way any time the turbo is producing 2+psi pressure the actuators are open.

You could also hook them up to manifold pressure but that may not be a good idea for two reasons... for one, I don't know if the actuators can handle vacuum, and for another, it's possible that you might get a feedback effect at mid load - pressure opens the actuators, pressure drops because of the reduced manifold restriction, actuators close, manifold pressure raises again... Then again I don't know the "window" in which the actuators open, just that it's around 2psi.

cool, ill look into that.

Has anyone here ever tried both turbo's on a 6port AND on a 4port, and has an opinion on which is better both in terms of driveability and power?
