Automatic FD question
 

I test drove an auto FD yesterday....Was kind of shocked that when i hit the gas....it barely went anywhere....very little throttle response. Is it normal to not have any power till the turbo's kick in?

the primary turbo does not have much lag so you should feel something.

From idle to 2.5-3krpm the car will be slow as a ford escort. From 3k to the shift, and from there on out provided the boost pattern is correct and you do not let out, it should be pretty quick.

I found a dyno sheet of a pretty stock automatic FD a few days ago and I believe it put down around 235 at the wheels (I believe it was running 12psi instead of 10), which is common mildly modified FC t2 territory, so it's not all that fast, but quick and fun. I've driven several and they are not bad, but a rearend gear change and a 3000+ stall would make them a BEAST from light to light.

stock stall IS 3K.

On paper perhaps, but in reality when you brake boost or floor the throttle the stall is in the low to mid 2000rpm range.
