Anyone renting compression testers?
 

I'm looking around to find out if anyone on the forums rents out rotary compression testers?

I'm using a traditional dial gauge compression tester and would like to get more accurate testing. The local Mazda dealership wants ALOT of money for a simple compression test and I'm in a rural enough area that I know calls to local shops won't turn up a rotary tech.

Just thought I'd see if anyone in the community rented out their tools.

you dont need a rotary compression test to measure. the way youre doing it is just fine.

someone on the forum has built one but as far as i know is not yet in production

regular compression tester is all you need, thats all I use.

I'd love to find a digital reading so I can be sure of the readings. Once the dial starts jumping it's hard to read when the readings aren't even. On the good rotor it's easy to read the dial...all the bounces are even.

I believe what it'll come down to is that the front rotor is reading low for some reason that won't come completely clear until the engine is coming apart.
